Automated External Defibrillator (AED) Course
Electrical Defibrillation is well established as the effective intervention for cardiac arrest, the most important determinant of survival being the time from collapse to delivery of the first shock. Today the widespread deployment of Automated External Defibrillators (AED’s) is considered a realistic strategy for reducing mortality due to heart disease.
No previous experience is necessary and is suitable for anyone wishing to develop their basic life support skills. Following the current Resuscitation Council (UK) guidelines, ITC has developed a training programme for those organisations that wish to provide AED cover in their establishments.
