Emergency First Aid for Pharmacist Course in Coventry

A group of 18 pharmacists and their staff attended a one-day emergency first aid course at the Coventry Conference Centre last week. The course was organised in conjunction with Coventry Local Pharmaceutical Committee and sponsored by ALK-Abello, the UK distributor of Epipens.

The rationale behind the course is to ensure that pharmacy staff are able to deliver enhanced services in a safe and professional manner, ensuring that appropriate action can be taken in the unlikely event of something going wrong.

As the course maps the HSE approved EFAW course, a certificate that helps the pharmacy to meetstatutory first aid requirements is also achieved.

Feedback from the course was overwhelming, with pharmacy staff commenting on how much they had enjoyed the method of delivery and presented information.
