Prince Harry the ‘First Aid Hero’

Prince Harry rushed to the aid of an injured polo player after he was knocked off his horse. As the first on the scene, he gently placed the American business man, Bash Kazi, into the recovery position, potentially saving the Mr Kazi’s life.

Actions such as this really help to raise awareness of the importance of acting quickly and correctly in emergency situations. The correct use of the recovery position is taught in both workplace and sports first aid courses, and whilst polo is not the most regularly played sport, in Market Harborough or Leicester, the example set by Prince Harry is applicable in many other first aid situations.
