Stockwood Joins forces with Skills Active and REPs ( Register of Exercise professionals)
Stockwood Consulting Ltd has joined forces with Skills Active who are licensed as the Sector Skills Council for Active Leisure, Learning and Well-being.
SkillsActive help individuals find career advice, access information on areas such as sport apprenticeships, fitness instructor training or the benefits of registering on REPs, and find practical degrees producing employable graduates. SkillsActive employer members can access discounted courses, funded apprenticeship training and support with developing staff skills, including use of activepassport to verify training and achievements. Training providers can promote their courses and highlight the quality of their training with SkillsActive endorsement.
We are also working with REPs – the Register of Exercise professionals. REPs is an independent public Register which recognises the qualifications and expertise of health-enhancing exercise instructors in the UK. One of its key functions is to provide a system of regulation for instructors and trainers to ensure that they meet the health and fitness industry’s agreed national occupational standards.
As part of the requirements to remain on the Register REPs members must demonstrate Continuing Professional Development. Stockwood Consulting Ltd’s 1 day Emergency First Aid at Work course has been registered and now counts for 8 CPD points to members yearly CPD targets. Our course provides the members with practical hands-on competency in life-saving first aid skills. It also allows them to act as an Emergency First Aider in the Workplace with respect to Health and Saftey Legislation.
