The Paediatric Basic Skills Refresher Course is an annual 3 hour essential life saving skills refresher recommended for those who have completed a 1 day Paediatric Emergency First Aid  or Level 3 Paediatric First Aid Course. It could also be used for those with no previous first aid experience as a basic course to gain some skills to deal with life threatening situations.

We all forget things over a period of time and because the certificate is valid for 3 years we may loose confidence or skills to deal with certain situations over that time. This refresher course is aimed to relearn those skills and become confident again to deal with those emergency life saving situations if they should happen.

Our courses are fun and interactive and give you lots of practising of the skills you have learned. This course has no written assessments to complete it is all done by trainer observation.

Content of the Paediatric Basic Skills Refresher Course
Candidates should demonstrate their competence to:
Assess the situation in an emergency
Administer first aid to children and babies who are unconscious (including seizure)
Administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation to  children and babies
Administer first aid to  children and babies who are wounded and bleeding
Administer first aid to  children and babies who are suffering from shock

Registration is at 9.00am and the course begins at 9.15am and finishes at 12.45 pm. If you arrive late then you may not be able to complete the course.
