Paediatric Emergency First Aid Course is a 1 day course for those working with children and babies. The course is suitable for those who require knowledge and skills of emergency first aid for children and babies. It is aimed at those working in an environment which has advanced Paediatric First Aid trained people in order to be able to support and assist them. Our Paediatric Emergency First Aid course would be aimed at those working in a nursery, teachers, teaching assistants but not for those working alone such as child minders or nannies It is also suitable for parents.
This course is NOT suitable for current Ofsted requirements. The 2-day Paediatric First Aid qualification is what is required by Ofsted.

Our courses are fun and interactive and give you lots of practising of the skills you have learned so you become confident in your own first aid abilities to deal with a variety of situations.

Content of our 1 day Paediatric Emergency First Aid Course

Planning for first aid emergencies involving babies and children
Dealing with unconscious babies and children including seizures
Resuscitation and CPR for babies and children
How to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
Recognising and dealing with

-shock in babies and children
-bleeding in babies and children

-choking in babies and children

-minor injuries in babies and children

A certificate valid for 3 years.

Registration is at 9.00am and the course begins at 9.15am and finishes at 5.00 pm. If you arrive late then you may not be able to complete the course.
