Pharmacists have fought hard to provide enhanced services, such as cardiovascular risk assessments, influenza vaccination and phlebotomy services, and demonstrated that they can provide a professional and cost effective service close to the patients home. These services raise the profile of pharmacy, publically and professionally, but they also bring increased levels of professional risk and responsibility.
This course, based on the Emergency First Aid at Work course will equip pharmacists and their staff with life-saving skills and give them the confidence to act decisively and safely when their actions will matter the most.
Delivered by first aid trainers who are pharmacists, the course is contextualised to the pharmacy setting. As the course is HSE approved it will also fulfil statutory requiremenst under the Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations.
