SUMMARY:First Aid For Dogs and Dog Owners short course
DESCRIPTION:First Aid for Dogs and Dog Owners Course. \nWhy dog first Aid? Well\, unlike our other pets\, we tend to take our dogs with us where ever we go and sometimes we take them to quite remote places- woods\, fields etc where we may be quite a distance from where we left the car. If anything happens to our dog then its going to be us that will have to do something and then manage getting them back to the car to take them to the vets.\nUnfortunately we cant call 999 for our injured\, or ill\, dog and expect an pet ambulance to arrive with a couple of vets inside to treat our sick pet. \nOur course is designed to bridge the gap between your dog collapsing and getting to the vet.\nThe first aid for dogs and dog owners course isn’t designed to remove the need to go to the vets but instead\, to recognise when things are serious and need the vet\, and equip you with the necessary knowledge and skills to be able to make that difference which might ultimately save your beloved dogs life. Just like in human life accidents can happen anywhere – when you are out walking your dog\, on the roadside or even at home. Coming on our course will give you the skills and knowledge to provide immediate action before calling the vet. More importantly\, we will give you the confidence to be able to use those skills. \nThis course is ideal for dog owners and those that work with dogs such as dog walkers\, dog sitters\, dog groomers. \nOn our short course we will cover:-\nKnowing your dog\nWeekly health checks\nManaging an incident\nChecking vital signs\nCPR\nDrowning\nChoking\nBleeding injuries\nShock\nRestraints and carries\nDog first aid kits and what should be in them \nOur course is compliant with the Veterinary Act 1966 & Vet Recover Guidelines 2012 \nPackage\nInteractive hands on practical training\nEasy to follow individual course manual \nCourse is approximately 3-3.5 hours with a break. \nRegistration is at 1.00pm  \nDuration 3.5 hrs\nCost per Student £55\nMaximum Students 12\nPrivate Course Cost From £450

SUMMARY:Annual Basic Skills Refresh Course
DESCRIPTION:Annual Basic Skills Refresh Course is an annual 3 hour essential life saving skills refresher that is recommended for those who have completed an Emergency First Aid at Work Course or a First Aid at Work Course. It could also be used for those with no previous first aid experience as a basic course to gain some skills to deal with life threatening situations. \nEveryone forgets things over a period of time. As your first aid certificate is valid for 3 years\, you may loose confidence or forget the skills to be able to deal with certain situations in that time. This annual basic skills refresh course is aimed to re-learn and refresh those life saving skills. Helping you become confident again to deal with those emergency life saving situations if they should happen. \nThe Health and Safety Executive recommend people attend these annual refreshers during the 3 years in-between gaining your certificate and it expiring so that your first aid skills remain current and you maintain confidence in your ability to deal with these life threatening situations. \nOur courses are fun and interactive and give you lots of practising of the skills you have learned to increase your confidence. This course has no written assessments to complete and it is all done by trainer observation. You will receive a certificate of attendance for this course. \n  \nTHIS COURSE DOES NOT REQUALIFY YOUR EMERGENCY FIRST AID AT WORK OR FIRST AID AT WORK COURSE IF IT HAS EXPIRED. To do this you need to attend the full courses again. \n  \nContent of the Annual Basic Skills Refresh Course\nCandidates should demonstrate their competence to:\nAssess the situation in an emergency\nAdminister cardiopulmonary resuscitation to  casualties \nAdminister first aid to casualties who are \n-unconscious (including seizure)\n-wounded and bleeding\n– suffering from shock \nRegistration is at 9.00am and the course begins at 9.15am and finishes at 12.45 pm. If you arrive late then you may not be able to complete the course. \nDuration                        3.5hrs\n Cost per Student         £60\n Maximum Students     12\n Private Course Cost    £475
