SUMMARY:Paediatric First Aid Course
DESCRIPTION:Paediatric First Aid Course is for those who might have to recognise and manage emergency situations or manage minor everyday occurrences when looking after young children and infants. \nThis qualification meets Ofsted requirements for those working in early years settings and uses the criteria for effective paediatric first aid training found in Appendix 1 of The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Practice Guidance document. The current EYFS statutory framework requires at least one person who has a current paediatric first aid certificate to be on the premises or outings at all times when children are present. \nOur courses are fun and interactive and give you lots of practising of the skills you have learned to make you confident in your ability to deal with a variety of first aid situations.. It is ideal for child minders\, teaching assistants\, teachers \, those that work in nurseries and parents. \nOur Paediatric First Aid Course is now Blended learning which means there is a 6 Hour online training element which you complete in the 6 weeks prior to the face to face classroom date AND a 6 Hour face to face classroom date where  we will teach you about the essential lifesaving skills required for your qualification. Throughout the day you will practice essential lifesaving skills and have the chance to ask your trainer any questions. DESCRIPTION:Annual Basic Skills Refresh Course is an annual 3 hour essential life saving skills refresher that is recommended for those who have completed an Emergency First Aid at Work Course or a First Aid at Work Course. It could also be used for those with no previous first aid experience as a basic course to gain some skills to deal with life threatening situations. \nEveryone forgets things over a period of time. As your first aid certificate is valid for 3 years\, you may loose confidence or forget the skills to be able to deal with certain situations in that time. This annual basic skills refresh course is aimed to re-learn and refresh those life saving skills. Helping you become confident again to deal with those emergency life saving situations if they should happen. \nThe Health and Safety Executive recommend people attend these annual refreshers during the 3 years in-between gaining your certificate and it expiring so that your first aid skills remain current and you maintain confidence in your ability to deal with these life threatening situations. \nOur courses are fun and interactive and give you lots of practising of the skills you have learned to increase your confidence. This course has no written assessments to complete and it is all done by trainer observation. DESCRIPTION:The Outdoor First Aid Course is a 16 hour first aid course aimed at those who work or play in the great outdoors. This Outdoor First Aid Course is suitable for workers in the forests or glens of the Highlands & Islands and will maintain the license to practice for those with Outdoor National Governing Body Instructor Awards including Mountain Leader and Single Pitch Awards. The course is designed to meet the needs of those working away from immediate assistance in the remote regions of the UK.
